Product Description

Added Visibility The Amber Extreme DRL is the most advanced LED turn signal system on the market. The unique design allows you to add a bright amber daytime running light or a safe functioning output if your car or truck uses the turn signal as the DRL. The issue with most plug-in style LED bulbs is that the output in DRL mode is not very bright, or they run too hot, overheat, and fail. Error-free bulbs generally use a thermally regulated output circuit, which reduces current to save the bulb from burning up. The problem with the design is that the current is lower, which triggers the flasher to double the flash rate because it thinks the bulb has burnt out.

Solution The Extreme DRL solves all of these issues due to the smart circuitry built into the controller and superior thermal management. No scenario will create a failure from overheating or reduced load, triggering hyperflash. When the parking lights or DRLs are on, the output is reduced to a safe but very bright 700LM. When the turn signal is applied, the output doubles to 1400LM and draws just under 2A of current, which does not trigger hyperflash. The optional dimming wire triggers the output to the equivalent of a standard parking light.

Radial Lens As if the Extreme wasn't extreme enough, we decided to kick it up a notch. The original lens is not terrible by any means; we just saw an opportunity for even more output and ran with it. The ultimate goal when developing an LED replacement is to simulate the characteristics of the filament bulb. Not only does the Extreme have insane lumen levels, but all that power has been harnessed to fire perfectly in the lamp housing reflector. Combined with the two-position adjustable feature, this produces an intensity like no other LED on the market.
